We’re excited to be recruiting for a dedicated Territory Manager to support parkrun in New Zealand. 

 

This role will oversee the successful launch of 12 new parkrun events across New Zealand over the next 12 months, and play an important role in driving sponsorship opportunities, exploring grants, and building strategic partnerships.

Each and every weekend, we deliver free, weekly timed events that people of all ages and backgrounds can join in. By tackling barriers to participation, we encourage communities to come together, and be social and active, outdoors.

What's involved:

We’re seeking a proactive and driven individual to lead the growth and delivery of parkrun across New Zealand.

 

This role is responsible for spearheading the successful execution of parkrun events across all areas of operations, including volunteer engagement, administrative systems, communications, and operational processes. A key focus will be delivering the New Zealand growth strategy, generating interest for new events, and supporting event teams to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable delivery.

 

You will also play an important role in driving sponsorship opportunities, exploring grants, and building strong strategic partnerships to support long-term growth. Acting as parkrun’s strategic representative in New Zealand, you will maintain awareness of local trends, regulations, and opportunities while contributing to global collaboration and best practice.

 

The role includes providing regular reports to the Asia Pacific Senior Leadership Team (SLT), ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with organisational priorities.

 

The position is open to candidates in New Zealand and in or around the Gold Coast. If the successful applicant is in South East Queensland, the role will be based in the parkrun Asia Pacific office for a minimum of three days per week in line with our current hybrid working arrangements.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience delivering or expanding community, sporting, or large-scale programmes.
  • Builds strong relationships with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates operational leadership and process improvement capability.
  • Has experience or interest in sponsorship, grants, and strategic partnerships.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.
