Why you might love this opp:

Clean Slate Clinic isn’t your average health service. We’re a telehealth social enterprise smashing the barriers - geography, cost, stigma - that stop people from accessing alcohol and other drug  recovery care. With a purpose-driven team and clinician-led programs, we're on a mission to help thousands achieve long-term recovery. This is healthcare built for dignity, access, and scale - and it’s growing quickly in Australia and the UK.

Why you might love job:

💜 Rebuilding access to recovery: Clean Slate Clinic isn’t a traditional health service. It’s a telehealth social enterprise created to remove the obstacles that stop people accessing withdrawal and recovery care - geography, cost, stigma, and complexity. By combining clinician-led programs with virtual delivery, Clean Slate supports people to withdraw safely at home, on their terms.

💛 Values-led leadership: You'll be joining a values-led team, with the three co-founders each having highly impactful careers that inform their leadership. The work here is deeply human: grounded in dignity, trust, and care - and combining deep clinical expertise with innovative delivery models the system is only just catching up to.

🌏 Impact in action: In just five years, Clean Slate has gone from idea to scale - supporting 3,000+ people to safely recover from  home, partnering with 30+ major health insurers including Medibank, Bupa and nib, government programs and expanding into the UK. Add features across ABC, 9Honey and national media as well as a 2025 Patients Australia Award for Outstanding Digital Health Service, and it’s clear this isn’t fringe healthcare - it’s the future of how recovery works.

🥜 In a nutshell: This is a hands-on assistant role supporting how Clean Slate shows up and stays connected as it grows. From social posts and short-form content to blogs, EDMs and webinar comms, you’ll help bring ideas to life and keep things moving day to day. You’ll support community conversations, education events and marketing coordination - learning by doing, following things through, and the chance to grow your scope as the company scales.

🔁 Variety with ownership: Your weeks have rhythm, not repetition. Most days blend community support, creative work, and coordination - responding to messages, prepping masterclass materials, and moving marketing tasks forward. One week you’re polishing slides and emails for a client session; the next you’re drafting a blog, updating the website, or supporting a partner announcement. Think less conveyor belt, more well-run group chat: lots of moving parts, clear priorities, and you calmly keeping things on track so the whole team can move faster.

🕶️  Your style: You care about people and take pride in getting things right. You spot what’s clunky, fix what you can, and follow things through - whether anyone’s watching or not. You communicate clearly, treat sensitive information with care, and don’t panic when the plan’s still forming. Your experience could come from volunteering, side projects, uni, community work, or early roles. Marketing degree optional. Good judgement, curiosity, and a genuine desire to be useful are non-negotiable.

💛 Inside Clean Slate: This is a team that cares and gets things done. The work is grounded in empathy and driven by outcomes, with clear communication and a lot of trust. People are supported to learn, take ownership, and grow - with high standards for follow-through and delivery. Remote work is simply how the team operates: open, frequent communication, shared responsibility, and a genuine sense of momentum.

🧃 Work design & flexibility: Full-time, permanent, and fully remote (Australia-based). $60,000–$70,000 + super, depending on experience. Flexible hours, five weeks of annual leave, and the option to work from a co-working space if that’s more your vibe. Full, ongoing working rights in Australia are required.

What's involved:

If you like early responsibility, care deeply about the quality of your work, and want to help scale something meaningful - this role will stretch you in the right ways.

The balance of work will shift over time but to start:

〰️ 40% Community Engagement & Care

Be the calm, friendly presence behind the inbox and comments section - the person who makes messages feel answered, not automated. You’ll respond to enquiries with warmth and good judgement, help people feel supported, and keep conversations flowing smoothly. Over time, you’ll start spotting repeat questions and sticky moments early, turning chaos into clarity and keeping everything ticking along like your favourite playlist on shuffle (no skips).

〰️ 30% Events & Experience Coordination

From client masterclasses to GP webinars, you’re part logistical wizard, part calm energy. You’ll wrangle comms, schedules, slides, and tech runs; support delivery on the day; and wrap things up neatly afterwards. When you’re on it, everything runs smoother than a fresh gelato on a summer day - fewer scrambles, fewer “you’re on mute” moments, more sessions that just work.

〰️ 30% Generalist Marketing & Team Support

This is where ideas turn into real, live things. Blogs, EDMs, website updates, campaign support, workflow upkeep - you’ll jump in wherever needed to keep the marketing engine humming. You’re the behind-the-scenes MVP who turns “we should do this” into “it’s live,” keeps the details tight, and helps the whole team move faster without burning out.

Key criteria:

🌟 Care-first communicator: Drop you into a sensitive conversation - a DM, an email, a tricky comment thread - and you know how to respond with clarity and care. Whether it’s a DM, email, or comment reply, you communicate with warmth, clarity, and good judgement. People feel heard, not handled.

🧠 Organised brain, calm energy: You keep plates spinning without announcing it. Events, comms, content, follow-ups - you track the details, close the loops, and keep things moving when plans change mid-stream. Deadlines tighten? You don’t spiral. You prioritise.

🎨 Creative doer: You’ve taken ideas from spark to send in service of a team or community - posts, blogs, EDMs, slides, the Canva glow-up that made it sharper than it needed to be. Along the way, you’ve picked up editing, content, or growth skills by messing around with tools and turning half-baked ideas into something that survives daylight.

🛠️ Tech comfy problem solver: If something feels clunky, you notice. If it can be smoother, you’re curious enough to test a better way. You’re comfortable poking around tools like Notion, email platforms, CMSs, Webflow and scheduling systems - and you quietly enjoy making them hum together like a well-timed playlist.

🚀 Bias to action: You’ve shown you don’t wait for perfect briefs or complete information. You’ve stepped into half-defined tasks, asked the questions that help you learn quickly, and moved things forward regardless. You’ve taken responsibility for small but important pieces of work, followed them through to a clean finish, and built trust by being reliable when it counts in a fast-moving, evolving environment.

🧡 Values in practice: You’ve shown you can work thoughtfully in contexts where care, discretion, and responsibility matter. You bring judgement, respect, and steadiness to your work - especially when the stakes are real.
