Since inception, our 33,000-person donor community has helped elect over a dozen independents to state and federal parliaments across Australia — because we believe better political representation is the key to improving government policy.

As our Events & Operations Coordinator, you'll play a key role within our high-performing Operations team, owning the end-to-end delivery of fundraising, campaign and internal events that directly fuel this mission. You'll work closely with an experienced Chief Operations Officer and Operations Manager, making this a fantastic opportunity to grow your events expertise while building a strong foundation in operations.

What's involved:

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Planning and executing internal and external events, both online and in-person
  • Working collaboratively with the Campaign Support and Donor Journey teams to own the event process, from conception to completion
  • Acting as the point of contact for all event and travel bookings
  • Identifying venues and arranging menus or catering
  • Organising photography, printing and design of materials, and merchandise
  • Attending events across the country as required to coordinate and ensure seamless cohesion
  • Managing RSVP systems, event communications and run sheets
  • Sticking to event budgets, timelines and compliance requirements

Operations Support

  • Supporting on operational and administrative tasks across compliance, governance, people and culture, IT security and strategy initiatives
  • Maintaining organisation-wide systems for better collaboration and efficiency, and identifying areas for improvement
Key criteria:

We are looking for someone with...

  • 1–3 years of experience in events coordination or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events end-to-end, from logistics to on-the-day delivery
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail, particularly across budgets, run sheets and communications
  • Great collaborative instincts who enjoys working cross-functionally
  • A passion for climate action, political integrity and gender equity
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, and up to 5 days per week
