🎤 TFN events are where magic happens. Grassroots changemakers pitch bold ideas. The room shifts. Connections spark. Generosity pours in. We’re not just running pitch nights — we’re designing moments that shift momentum. These events unlock capital, open doors, and leave even seasoned pros more hopeful and inspired than they walked in.
⚡️Our impact in action: In FY24 alone, TFN facilitated nearly $5 million in funds raised through flagship events and partnerships — backing 24 grassroots organisations, coaching 139 nonprofit leaders, and growing an alumni network that’s scaling fast. Across a decade? We’re talking $30+ million in funding, 300+ emerging charities, and over 2,000 leaders. 70% of our alumni have grown into medium or large organisations — proof that when bold ideas get the right backing, the impact travels further than you’d think.
🤝 With big vision and powerhouse partners like AMP Foundation, Macquarie and Accenture, TFN is redefining what modern philanthropy looks like — turning pitch nights into powerful launchpads for the next gen of innovative impact organisations like Consent Labs, Ocean Mind, Studio A and Confit Pathways.
✨ We know you’re not just an event coordinator — you’re part producer, part vibe-setter, part logistics legend. As Event and Partner Experience Coordinator, you’ll bring our flagship events to life — on time, on point, and with just the right edge. From briefing presenters to wrangling suppliers and making sure partners feel supported, you’ll be the steady hand turning big vision into seamless experience.
🧞 We get that your evolving events and production chops might come from anywhere — gigs, media, social enterprise, an agency, or something else entirely (nerdy but excellent quiz nights, anyone?). Whether you’ve run panel nights, festival activations, startup showcases or national roadshows, we care less about where you’ve been and more about how you work: organised, intuitive, creatively minded, and all over the detail.
🎟 From locking in venues and wrangling AV to prepping run sheets, managing guest lists and capturing pledges/donations — you’ll keep our events ticking and our partners feeling looked after. It’s part logistics, part people, and all about making things feel thoughtful, smooth and a little bit special.
🏖 Flexibility meets growth: We’re flexible on hours (30 to 38 per week) and while Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane is ideal, remote works if you’re the right fit. Salary starts at $65K + super and benefits. Whether you’re early in your career or bringing serious events + partnership chops, there’s room to grow. (P.S. If 4 days and a pro-rated salary is your sweet spot, just say so in your application!)
🧋 Bonus: Enjoy bonus hours off with extra paid leave over Christmas-NY and our unique TFN Summer policy (yep, really) as well as salary packaging perks (aka more money in your pocket), access to EAP, additional parental leave, alumni visits around the country (with mgmt sign off) and a work culture built on outcomes, not clock-watching.
What's involved:
The balance of work will shift but to start:
〰️ 60% Event Coordination & Production
You’ll be the ringleader behind 15–20+ national events each year. Booking venues? Sorted. AV wrangling? Nailed. Run sheets, donation follow-ups and making sure the lights go down just right? You live for it. Think: part festival crew, part group holiday organiser, part stage manager on opening night — you make it memorable and high impact.
〰️ 30% Partner Experience & Support
TFN’s events are powered by incredible partners — and you’ll help make sure their experience is smooth from first hello to final follow-up. Whether it’s confirming details, fielding last-minute curveballs, or sending that all-important thank you, you’ll be the calm, capable connector keeping everyone in sync and feeling well looked after.
〰️ 10% Team Support & Ops Backup
We’re a small team, which means your fingerprints will be on a bit of everything. You’ll help fine-tune event systems, support the CEO and partnerships team during big moments, and jump into areas like marketing when the to-do list stacks up. You’ve got a sixth sense for what needs doing — and maybe even a secret love of ticking things off.
Key criteria:
🤹 Natural Organiser & Planning Pro
Events are your happy place. You’ve wrangled productions, launches, volunteer events or retreats — juggling schedules, suppliers, run sheets and people with calm precision. You know how to make a plan, stick the landing, and keep everyone feeling looked after along the way.
🧑💻 Digitally Comfortable, Curiously Capable
You’ve got a brain built for logistics, a sixth sense for timelines, and a soft spot for colour-coded anything. You’re comfortable using digital tools (like Salesforce, Canva, Slack and Asana) and excited by finding better ways to do things.
🚀 Self-Starter Energy, Team-First Vibes
You take the lead when it’s needed, pitch in where it counts, and keep things moving without waiting for a nudge. You’ve got initiative in spades, but you're just as happy backing someone else to nail the moment.
💬 Clear, calm communicator
Whether it’s a warm email, a check-in call with a stressed supplier, or navigating a last-minute curveball mid-event — you stay cool, keep things moving, and make everyone feel like they’re in safe hands. You’re a people person through and through, with a sixth sense for reading the room, earning trust, and knowing exactly when to bring the snacks or the solutions.
🌏 Impact Curious (and Keen to Learn)
You don’t need a background in philanthropy or fundraising — but if the idea of helping bold ideas grow into big change gets you fired up, you’ll love it here. You’re values-led, tuned into the world, and ready to use your skills somewhere they count.
