Help us drive impact in:
The opportunity:
Why you might love this opp:
🌍 You’ll be joining a high-performing digital/social marketing agency and social business powering the growth of purpose-led brands — from climate startups and social enterprises to changemaking B Corps and impact funds. What sets Humans of Purpose apart? Our model pairs strategic marketing with social good — delivering standout campaigns while creating real career pathways for women rebuilding after domestic and family violence.
⚡ Impact in action: Backed by the Paul Ramsay Foundation, Snow Foundation, NSW government + more, we’ve worked with purpose-driven brands including UTS Impact Studios, Today Design and the Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific. Our top-ranked podcast has profiled 300+ changemakers, and our Academy has helped 300+ women - many rebuilding after domestic violence - to launch digital careers that bring both stability and freedom.
🎛️ As Digital Marketing Manager, you won’t just run campaigns — you’ll shape the whole engine. You’ll bring strategic firepower across paid and organic, lead day-to-day performance across channels including Meta and LinkedIn, and collaborate closely on content strategy, funnel builds, reporting and optimisation. This is a rare opportunity to step into a lead role in a fast-growing impact agency, helping scale bold ideas and brands with heart — while building something meaningful of your own.
📅 What your week might look like: One day you’re building Meta campaigns for a climate accelerator and mapping lead gen flows for a new founder-led brand. The next, you’re deep in a performance report, briefing a designer, or fine tuning a conversion strategy with the team. You know how to build high-converting funnels, optimise paid campaigns in-flight, and spot what’s dragging down results before anyone else does.
🕶️ Your style: You move fast, think commercially, and thrive in teams where people own their work and share what they learn. You’re a self-driven learner who brings curiosity to every challenge — always testing, tweaking, and sharpening what works. You love pairing creative ideas with smart data, and know that great results come from both craft and iteration. You don’t hoard knowledge; you share the wins and the lessons, and you love building momentum with others. Creative problem-solving is second nature, and your instinct is to make things better — together.
🧞 This org understands that your performance marketing and digital comms skills could come from anywhere — ecomm, a startup, an agency, or somewhere completely unexpected. You’ve probably worn a few hats — campaign strategist, growth marketer, content wrangler. What matters here is how you think, build, and back it up with results. You’re not here to tick boxes — you’re here to make your mark.
🧩 Finding the right fit for this purpose-led role is top of mind. Passion and drive is as important as your experience. With an experienced Founder and Business Development Manager to support you, this role is perfect for someone with solid digital & performance marketing foundation who’s ready to take on more responsibility, sharpen their skills, and own their space.
⚡ Flex and purpose-led: This is a 32 hrs week (spread 4 - 5 days - whatever works best) with a salary of $90K–$95K + super (pro rata). You’ll work remotely with flexible hours, with in-person connection encouraged for team sessions. You’ll report to the founder and collaborate closely across strategy, content, delivery, and client success. You’ll need full working rights in Australia — sponsorship is not available for this role.
If you’re ready to lead performance with purpose, this is your opportunity to help scale an impact agency that’s rewriting what growth looks like — for clients, communities, and the people we hire.
What's involved:
To hit the ground running:
You're someone who can get stuck in and run digital ad campaigns whilst bringing new creative energy and ideas. The balance of work will shift over time, but to start:
〰️ 60% Performance Marketing & Growth Strategy
Search, socials, retargeting — you’ll build lean, effective paid campaigns that punch well above their weight. Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok — you’re across them all and know when to scale, when to kill, and how to stretch a budget without watering down the message. You’ll work with orgs pushing boundaries in climate, advocacy, health and more — turning sharp strategy into full-funnel results. CAC, ROAS, retention? Your ads won’t just show up; they’ll hit the algorithm like a cat video on loop.
〰️ 25% Client Relationships & Delivery
You’ll be the go-to for a tight portfolio of clients — owning the relationship, leading strategy, and making sure everything we deliver hits the brief and the benchmarks. You’ll bring clarity, candour and commercial smarts — guiding our Digital Heroes, responding in real time, and holding the thread between vision, creative and results. If something’s off, you’ll fix it. If something’s flying, you’ll scale it.
〰️ 15% Digital Marketing Support
You’ll plug into the full funnel — sharpening landing pages, tuning email flows, refreshing organic content, and making sure every touchpoint pulls its weight. Whether it’s a campaign that needs extra eyes or a sales page that needs sharper copy, you’ll bring the kind of digital instincts that keep things moving, converting, and on brand. You’re not precious about formats — you just want things to land, convert, and feel less ‘stock image’ and more standout.
Key criteria:
This role suits someone experienced in the digital agency world who thrives at the intersection of purpose and performance. You understand what it takes to grow sustainably - and you know how to turn strategy into action that delivers impact.
The kind of expertise and skills you can leverage in this role:
📈 Performance Marketing: You’ve run lean, sharp paid campaigns across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and TikTok — and you’re not afraid to test, switch out, scale, and stretch budget to deliver full-funnel results. You know what makes a good hook, how to optimise an ad set, and how to translate CAC, ROAS and retention into insight that shapes the next move. You’re at your best when you’re in the numbers — testing hypotheses, tweaking creative, and pulling the levers that move performance. You balance creativity and data analysis like a pro, turning insights into results.
🧭 Strategic Communication: You think in systems — not just assets. From mapping journeys to shaping copy, you design content and marketing strategies that serve the brand and the customer. You can pull together a multi-touch campaign, lead on messaging, and report results in a way that’s useful for the team and the client.
👐 Customer-Focused Thinking: You build trust fast — and keep it. Whether it's a founder-led social enterprise or a high-growth climate org, you take the time to understand what success looks like and translate it into action. You know when to push back, when to ask more, and how to keep clients looped in without slowing the work down.
🧠 Creative Problem Solving: You’re not waiting for a perfect brief. You jump in, spot what’s needed, and shape smart solutions from the ground up — whether it’s rescuing a flat campaign or finding a way to make the most of a tiny content budget. You bring structure to ambiguity and help build the process as you go.
🤝 Ownership & Collaboration: You take full ownership of your work — and show up as a steady, thoughtful collaborator inside a dynamic team. You manage your own pipeline, deadlines, and feedback loops, while staying generous with your time and smarts when others need support. You know how to ask the right questions, keep things moving, and make others better in the process.
🌱 Mission + Momentum: You’re not just here for the metrics — you want your work to accelerate ideas that matter. You get what it takes to scale an agency where purpose and performance go hand in hand, and you bring hunger, humility, and a sharp eye for impact to everything you do.
