The opportunity:
Why you might love this opp:
Clean Slate Clinic isn’t your average health service. We’re a clinician-led telehealth service smashing the barriers - geography, cost, stigma - that stop people from accessing alcohol detox and recovery care. With a purpose-driven team, thoughtful technology and expert clinicians, we’re on a mission to make life-changing treatment easier to access from home.
Why you might love this opportunity
🏥 Work with a bigger goal: At Clean Slate Clinic, you’ll be part of a team making life-changing recovery care accessible to everyone. We’re not just another telehealth service - you’ll be part of the support crew, the reset button, and the barrier-breaking solution that’s redefining addiction care with expert clinicians, simple tech, and lived experience at the heart.
💛 Values-led leadership: You’ll be joining a values-led team, with the three co-founders each bringing highly impactful careers that inform their leadership. The work here is deeply human, grounded in dignity, trust and care, while combining clinical expertise with innovative delivery models the system is only just catching up to.
🌏 Impact in action: In just six years, Clean Slate has gone from idea to scale - supporting 4,000+ people to safely recover from home, partnering with 30+ major health insurers including Medibank, Bupa and nib, government programs and expanding into the UK. Add features across ABC, 9News and national media as well as a 2025 Patients Australia Award for Outstanding Digital Health Service, and it’s clear this isn’t fringe healthcare - it’s the future of how recovery works.
✨ We know you’re not just a CRM marketer. You’re part systems thinker, part data sleuth and part builder, with a knack for spotting where journeys break down and knowing what to test next. Methodical by nature, you think in cohorts, understand what drives behaviour, and can turn a complex web of journeys, triggers and motivations into a clear plan of attack. As CRM & Lifecycle Manager, you’ll use that muscle to craft smarter flows, sharper experiments and better-timed communications that help more people move from first contact to treatment.
📅 Your week: You’ll be in and out of the funnel, pulling data through MCP to see how journeys are performing, where a cohort is dropping off and whether the CRM list is healthy. From there, you might rebuild a no-show flow, tighten an SMS sequence, test a different cadence or level of personalisation, then use themes from client call transcripts to shape the next lifecycle email with input from the marketing and clinical teams. The complexity is in the context: people arrive through different pathways, with different motivations and levels of readiness, sometimes moving from first contact to treatment quickly and sometimes taking months. Your job is to keep making that journey smarter, clearer and more effective.
🕶️ Your style: You’re the kind of person who gets a jolt from a smart idea in a favourite marketing newsletter, saves the landing page that made you think, and seeks out the people and rooms that keep your thinking sharp. You don’t need a meeting to create momentum, and you’re not precious about the perfect tool or perfect conditions. You’ll poke around, test a workaround, use AI to get yourself unstuck, and keep going until you understand what’s really happening. You bring care to the people behind the data, strong judgement to the work, and enough initiative to make your patch unmistakably better than you found it.
🧞 What you bring: we know great CRM talent can come from all sorts of places - ecommerce, consumer tech, fintech, health, an agency, or somewhere completely unexpected. Maybe you’ve spent a few years in consumer-facing lifecycle, CRM, retention or growth marketing, building a feel for what makes people act. You know your way around automation platforms, customer journeys and data, and can point to a number you helped move. What matters most is that you grasp complexity fast, back yourself to get moving, and want to put your skills behind a mission you believe in.
🧩 Finding the right fit for this purpose-led role is top of mind. Passion and drive is as important as your experience. With an experienced Chief Revenue Officer and marketing team around you, this role is perfect for someone with a solid CRM foundation who’s ready to take on more responsibility, sharpen their skills, and own their space.
📍 The detail: Full-time, remote role working across Australia and the UK, with overlap across both time zones. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer. Salary $100,0000, + super. Full permanent Australian working rights required.
What's involved:
The balance of work will shift over time but to start:
〰️ 35% Funnel Analysis & Experimentation
Start with the numbers. Pull apart cohorts, conversion points, latency & journey performance to find where people are getting stuck and then build smart experiments to move them forward. Timing, cadence, channel, message, personalisation: you’ll keep testing the variables that matter and compounding the gains.
〰️ 35% Journey Architecture & CRM Systems
Own the whole map. Email and SMS flows, triggers, branches, integrations, monitoring and all the invisible plumbing that makes a sophisticated lifecycle programme work. You’ll improve what exists, build what’s missing and make sure a broken automation gets caught by the system long before it shows up in a weekly report.
〰️ 30% Lifecycle Content & Re-engagement
Turn customer insight into structured email and SMS journeys. Segment by motivation and readiness, use clear marketing frameworks to shape the message, and build ongoing lifecycle and re-engagement flows for people who need more time, while keeping list health, consent and deliverability tight. Think less blank-page copywriting, more behavioural systems built with words.
Key criteria:
📈 CRM That Moved a Number: You’ve owned lifecycle, CRM, retention or conversion work where the outcome mattered. Maybe you lifted sign-ups, improved show rates, reactivated a dormant segment or increased revenue. You can point to what you changed, why you changed it, and what happened next.
🧩 Journey Builder: You’ve built and improved automated journeys yourself, not just briefed them in. Triggers, branches, segmentation, email, SMS, APIs + webhooks, integrations - you understand how the pieces connect and you’re comfortable getting under the hood when something doesn’t fire.
🔬 Analytical by Default: You’ve used data to work out where people are getting stuck and what to test next. Cohorts, conversion points, sample sizes, experiment results — you know how to find the signal, and you’re comfortable saying when the data hasn’t told you enough yet.
🧠 Behaviour-Led Marketer: You’ve thought deeply about what makes people act. Motivations, barriers, readiness, message timing, personalisation - you’ve used customer insight or marketing frameworks to shape journeys that move people forward with the judgement to know when empathy and restraint matter just as much as persuasion.
⚡ High-Initiative Operator: You’ve shown that you can spot a problem, form a view and get moving without waiting for perfect instructions. Maybe you found a broken flow nobody else had noticed, taught yourself a new tool, or built a workaround that kept things moving. You know when to pull others in, but you don’t need a meeting to create momentum.
🧡 Purpose: Values alignment with the team and the broader mission - to improve health and wellness support to those experiencing addiction through a unique at-home model of care, delivered by expert clinicians.
