Why you might love this opp:

The Funding Network (TFN) is a purpose-led non-profit that runs live collective giving events - they do more than raise hands and dollars - they spark momentum. They bring bold grassroots ideas into rooms full of people ready to back them, creating the kind of energy that funds game-changing work, unlocks powerful networks, and fuels long-term impact well beyond the night itself. It’s fast-paced, high-trust, and all in service of a more generous, inclusive Australia.

Why you might love this opportunity

💚 Changing who gets backed: TFN puts grassroots changemakers on stage, in front of a room that came ready to back them. Stories land. Hands go up. Tens of thousands of dollars move directly to community-embedded organisations. But the real impact travels further. In that room, changemakers meet people ready to open doors, share networks, offer expertise and keep backing the work long after the night ends - turning one powerful evening into new possibilities for what comes next.

🌏 Impact in action: Since 2013, TFN has brought 26,000+ people into the room, delivered more than 200 events and helped move $32 million towards 630+ grassroots and social change programs. What happens next is the real story. Alumni including Consent Labs, Ocean Mind, Studio A and Confit Pathways are now changing conversations, communities and entire sectors - and they’re not the exception: 70% of TFN-backed organisations have grown from small to medium or large. AMP Foundation, Macquarie, Atlassian and Accenture are among the organisations betting on the model - because some of Australia’s freshest ideas are already taking shape in communities across the country.

🥜 In a nutshell: You'll be the person turning TFN's work into content people can see, feel and act on. You'll find the human moment inside a presenter's journey, a game-shifting pledge, or the next chapter of a TFN-backed organisation - then cut it, shape it and send it out while the energy's still buzzing. That content helps people understand the work, connect with the organisations behind it, and find their way into TFN's supporter community. Around that, you're keeping TFN's wider digital ecosystem moving - email journeys, fundraising campaigns and a website that turns curiosity into action.

📅 Your week: A blend of storytelling, digital execution and momentum-building. You might start by looking weeks ahead across upcoming Flagship events - finding the strongest angles, shaping the content run-up and activating partners & networks to grow TFN’s audience. Midweek, you’re segmenting the database, sharpening an email journey, checking what opened, clicked or converted, and making sure the website is turning interest into handraisers. Then the brief shifts: amplifying a PR moment, spotlighting a donor whose backing says something bigger, or shaping a communication that helps TFN’s whole community feel part of what’s moving.

🕶️ Your style: Your inbox is full of marketing newsletters (some of which you even get around to reading). You've signed up for the courses, tested the tools, saved the campaigns that got you thinking. Testing, tweaking, watching something take off - that's your genuine kick. You like being in the mix, too: volunteering, talks, exhibitions, always up for a coffee that might lead somewhere. You love drawing a story out of someone and turning it into something people want to open, watch, share and back.

💬 Inside TFN: It’s a compact, close-knit team where everyone has a line of sight across the work - and a good idea can gather momentum fast, wherever it comes from. Someone spots a better way, another person builds on it, and before long it’s part of how the team works. You’ll be trusted to move things forward, bring a point of view and pitch in with people who are quick to solve, generous with ideas and deeply invested in what the team is building together.

💡 What you bring: We get that your experience may have been built in a nonprofit, startup, agency or somewhere else entirely - perhaps across digital marketing, fundraising or social impact storytelling. You bring sharp creative instincts, strong digital judgement and a bias towards getting things moving: putting ideas into the world, seeing what lands and using the data to find the highest-leverage next move for the organisations and work TFN exists to back.

📍 The detail: Full-time, permanent. You’ll spend Wednesdays and Thursdays with the team in Eora/Sydney, then shape the rest of the week around where you work best. Salary starts from $80,000 + super + NFP salary packaging, with some flexibility if you're bringing deeper experience and capability. Full permanent Australian working rights required.

What's involved:

The balance of work will shift over time but to start:

〰️40% Content Creation & Campaign Execution

You'll capture the stories that bring TFN's brand and mission to life - a changemaker's growth journey, a pledge total climbing past target, the energy in the room on event nights. You'll spot those moments and turn them into sharp emails, fast-turnaround content and social storytelling that strengthen TFN's voice and give people a reason to show up, share and stay connected.

〰️ 30% Digital Marketing & Analytics

You’ll get under the hood of TFN’s digital engine - growing the database, sharpening email journeys, improving the website and using Socialsuite and the wider data to decide what deserves more energy. The goal: help TFN reach beyond the usual circle and bring more people into the network.

〰️ 30% Impact & Partner Communications

You’ll help turn program data, milestones and partnerships into TFN brand-aligned communications people can trust and act on - from impact updates and reports to major announcements where every word counts.

Key criteria:

✍️ Content Creator at Heart: You've built a body of work that finds the story, keeps it on-brand, and makes it land - social content, email campaigns, event storytelling, impact reports. You know how to take a raw moment and shape it into something that moves people to act.

💛 Human-First Storyteller: You've told stories that deeply mattered to the people living them - the kind that deserve care, not just craft. You know the difference between a story that informs and one that honours the person behind it.

📊 Creative & Digital Toolkit: Canva is second nature. You've run the digital marketing toolkit - email platforms, social scheduling, CRM basics, website - and you can read what GA4 is telling you without blinking. You've dabbled in tools like Pardot, Stripo, Hootsuite, Salesforce or WordPress, and you love exploring new platforms.

🚀 Self-Starting: You spot what needs doing, make the call, and loop someone in when you need input. You've worked in small teams and thrived - moving good work forward without waiting for a brief to land in your inbox.

👥 Collaborative Connector: You've worked well with people doing very different things to you - program managers, fundraisers, corporate partners. Whether that's coordinating copy sign-off across two teams or turning a colleague's quick update into a donor email, you keep things moving.

🌱 Purpose-Led: You’ve consistently found yourself in the room with people and orgs building something worth building. Whether NFP, social enterprise, or adjacent, you've put your skills close to community and impact.
