Why you might love this opp:

Future Anything is reimagining what school can be: where educators catalyse student-led change beyond classroom walls, students turn ideas into action, and learning feels alive with purpose. They’re scaling a movement that makes education relevant, future-ready, and impossible to ignore.

Why you might love this Opportunity:

🌏 Our work: Future Anything partners with schools, networks and educators to bring learning to life. Through hands-on teacher coaching, future-ready curriculum design, and YouthX - our national youth accelerator - we help classrooms become spaces where ideas grow legs. One week it’s students prototyping solutions to local challenges; the next it’s teachers embedding entrepreneurial projects across every subject. Together, we’re making real-world, future-focused learning the new normal in Australian education.

🔧 Leading the shift: With bold vision and powerhouse partners like SOUTHSTART, the Queensland Government, and Taronga Zoo, Future Anything is setting the pace in education innovation. This momentum has seen our founder Nicole recognised as an Obama Foundation Leader, Snow Entrepreneur, and (just announced!) as a finalist for Australian of the Year 2026! Next year, we're set to spark even bigger shifts.

⚡️Impact in action: Side by side with educators, we’re unleashing the potential of young people to take on the world’s toughest challenges. Our partners in action: 100,000 young people and 5000+ educators to deliver 200+ programs annually across Australia and New Zealand - turning classrooms into launchpads, ideas into impact, and students into the enterprising trailblazers the future is waiting for.

💼 As Business & Partnerships Lead you’ll own our growth trajectory - connecting the dots between opportunity and impact. As the first person in this role, you'll take what's already working and turn it into something scalable and systematic. You’ll lead the growth engine; building a steady, sustainable pipeline of new and returning schools, partnerships, and collaborations that deliver results, grow revenue and scale our work.

🕶️ Your style: You love the mix of strategy and action - designing structures that scale one day, jumping on calls or refining a pitch the next, and always keeping relationships and momentum at the centre. Commercial, results driven, and collaborative, you build strong partnerships and turn good ideas into consistent sales. You communicate with warmth and precision, spotting opportunities for alignment in diverse contexts.

💡 What you bring: Whether you’ve come from school leadership, an EdTech startup, or an adjacent business development context, you know how to drive sales to unlock growth and impact. You’re fluent in the language of schools and systems, confident framing value around curriculum outcomes, and skilled at turning insight into lasting partnerships. If that’s your sweet spot, we’d love to hear from you.

💬 Inside Future Anything: Future Anything is a tight, high-performing team that works quickly, creatively, and with intention; without ever sacrificing quality or coherence. Collaboration, autonomy, and accountability shape how work gets done every day, with a culture of learning and reflection that keeps the work - and our team - evolving. Everyone’s here for the same reason: to make education more human, more relevant, and more full of possibility.

🧋The detail: This is a full-time role, ~ $130,000–$140,000 + super, flex on location - ideally Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane. For the right experienced operator, we’re open to a higher salary pro-rated over 32 hours per week. Full, ongoing working rights in Australia are essential.

🏖 Bonus: Six weeks’ annual leave, a $1,000 learning budget, and a work culture built on outcomes, not clock-watching. We’re open to hybrid office arrangements for the right candidates.

What's involved:

You’re someone who knows how to turn opportunity into traction - balancing relationships, systems, and strategy to drive sustainable growth, close deals, and hit ambitious revenue goals.

The mix will evolve over time, but to start:

〰️ 50% Business Development & Partnerships

Meet with school leaders, regional networks, and partners to grow Future Anything’s reach and revenue. Craft proposals, close deals, and turn conversations into lasting collaborations. Drive renewals, manage pipelines, and keep momentum synced to the school calendar so no opportunity slips. Build trust with education departments, councils, and allies who see schools as the front line of change.

〰️ 30% Growth Engine

Build the systems that make growth repeatable. Set up the CRM, segment leads, and design nurture flows that convert. Track data and trends so the team can see where momentum’s building - and double down. Streamline workflows and reporting so every win fuels the next one.

〰️ 20% Strategy & Collaboration

Turn insight into action. Use data, feedback, and on-the-ground experience to shape where Future Anything goes next. Work closely with the Founder and Directors to align partnerships, programs, and priorities - keeping growth focused, intentional, and built to last.

Key criteria:

💡 Strategic and relational: You’ve built trust across schools, systems, and partners — turning credibility and connection into lasting collaboration. You’ve led growth through influence, empathy, and follow-through, not just outreach.

🚀 Growth-minded and commercially sharp: You’ve driven organisational growth by aligning purpose with performance - spotting opportunities, shaping offers, and building momentum behind a clear value proposition. You've consistently hit or exceeded revenue targets. You understand cycles, metrics, and the power of timing in education.

🧭 Systems thinker: You’ve brought order to complexity - designing clear structures that helped teams track leads, follow up with intent, and move seamlessly from idea to execution. You've demonstrated you can implement the right mix of tools and frameworks - from CRMs to OKRs - to turn ambition into visible progress.

🎓 Education Systems-fluent: You know how schools and systems work: who decides, when budgets land, and how change really takes root. Whether you’ve been a teacher, a regional lead or worked in EdTech, you’ve built partnerships that respect the rhythm of school life.

🤝 Collaborative and grounded: You’ve worked across diverse teams, adapting quickly and communicating clearly. You take ownership of outcomes, share credit generously, and stay steady when priorities shift or deadlines collide.

🧠 Curious and impact-focused: You’ve connected the dots between education, innovation and social change - always asking how growth can serve greater purpose. You think beyond sales to legacy.

🌏 Purpose-led: You’re energised by seeing schools evolve, young people thrive and ideas spread. You bring integrity, optimism and deep respect for the educators you serve.
