Raise Our Voice Australia is a non-partisan social enterprise mobilising young women and gender diverse people to transform policy and politics.

The Head of Innovation is responsible for the research and development of our new fellowship program for young women and gender-diverse people (aged 18-33) in Melbourne.

The successful applicant will lead the background work investigating best practices, meeting with peer organisations, and designing the fellowship. Your work will ensure the program is sustainable, adds value to the civic engagement space, and effective. This is a voluntary position.

Time commitment: 3 hours a week | voluntary

Key criteria:

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is passionate about gender equity and/ or public decision making
  • Someone who has previously conducted strategic research
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with professional stakeholders and peer organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to drive a research project forward
  • An understanding of the Australian political system and the barriers facing young diverse people within it

We particularly welcome applications from people from culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people who identify as First Nations or LGBTQIA+, people from migrant/ refugee backgrounds, and people with a disability.

All applicants are required to be over 18, and acquire and maintain an active Working With Vulnerable Persons check (or state equivalent).
