About the Role

We are looking for a Secretary of our Board to assist in maintaining records, coordinating meetings, and supporting communication among board members. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent organizational skills, and is passionate about contributing to a meaningful cause.

The board meets once per month

Some tasks you will be responsible for;

  • Accurately record minutes of board meetings and ensure they are approved and archived appropriately.
  • Maintain and organize all board-related documents, including resolutions, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication among board members and between the board and other stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to the Board Chair and other board members as needed.
  • Ensure the organization complies with relevant legal and regulatory requirements regarding board operations.

Experience & Skillset

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of board governance practices and legal requirements.
  • Ability to commit time to a monthly 90 minute board meeting plus time required to maintain documentation and organization and other board activities.
